南野拓实表示：“由于世界杯扩军，让预选赛稍微轻松了一些，不过‘小组前两名才能直接获得直通世界杯正赛资格’这一点依旧没变。这一次我们再度和澳大利亚、沙特同分在了一组，他们都并非等闲之辈，此外同组对手还有在U23亚洲杯击败韩国的印尼队，他们也会是个难缠的对手。现在他们的国内联赛也办得有声有色，因此客场会发生什么并不好预料。”
