邮报表示，贝蒂斯在转会窗关闭前曾报价求租埃里克森和安东尼，但遭到拒绝，而埃里克森的代表马丁-朔茨透露，安德莱赫特、阿贾克斯和另一家未透露名称的荷兰俱乐部也接触了这位丹麦中场。

朔茨接着说道：“在阿拉伯地区、土耳其和美职联也有选择，但这些选择都被排除了，因为埃里克森和他的家人想留在西欧。此外，他有信心获得足够的上场时间，曼联接下来几个月每三天就要踢一场比赛，所以他对曼联仍然很重要。”

不过，考虑到埃里克森上赛季仅首发14次，本赛季仅在对阵利物浦时第86分钟替补登场，因此朔茨预计冬窗的时候会有更多球队接触这位32岁的球员。
