黄健翔说道：“打沙特那场比赛，毫无疑问啊，1-0领先对方被罚下一人，换人的时间的选择、战术的调整是直接导致后来输掉比赛，1分都没拿到，这是第一原因。因为我们都看到场上队员都拼了，你稍微换人及时一点早一点，多打一人的情况下上一两个能控球的，像谢鹏飞这样的，把球拿好，这个比赛搞不好3分都有了。

但是在这种局面下主教练的问题是非常非常大的，或者说这场比赛就是他的问题，这场比赛我不想批评任何队员。当然我也承认一个月的时间换帅很难，包括我们现在足协手里能拿出来的预算，跟当年不可同日而语，但是在这个价位下是不是有可用的，其实仍然是有操作空间的，任何价位都能买着合适的东西。”
