田中碧表示：“在考虑了各种各样的因素后，最终发现也许转会离开对于自己来说是最佳选项，但说实话自己还没有彻底下定决心，所以对于转会自己有点没那么上紧。”

“既然转会，我的首选肯定是想去五大联赛球队效力，也的确有这样的可选项，不过在和多名教练交谈后，我发现踢什么样的足球对自己来说是关键的，不光要在新的俱乐部有活跃表现，还要考虑到自己能否更进一步，然后还有自己能不能获得足够的出场时间等。利兹联在英国有着特殊地位，一般情况下是可以通过这个平台前往英超联赛的，从这点来看，我认为加盟利兹联是个很好的选择。”

“虽说我想在和中国队的比赛中出场，不过最重要的还是球队赢球。”
